MY
Story
At 14, I was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. The diagnosis brought more lessons than I'd ever anticipated; fear and pain, hope and love. Now, at 18 and cancer free, I carry those lessons everywhere I go. I work to keep the promises I made myself when I went into remission: That I would pursue my dreams without hesitation. That I would share my truth, no matter the consequence. That I would live cautiously optimistically every day, which requires learning the delicate balance between planning an uncertain future and living for the moment.
I'm currently in school as an Elementary Education major. I work with children daily at my childcare jobs and as a volunteer aide at an elementary school. Teaching is a passion I discovered in the summer of 2018 and it has grown infinitely since. When I'm not working or studying, I write for my social media, maintain my blog, and run a small photography business of my own.
